Our Programs

RFAD – Royalty for a Day)
Description of Program: Every quarter YWCA –EUC designate 3 women -based upon the criteria in place –to receive essential services at Rosetta’s Salon in Union NJ. These women receive products donated e.g. personal hygiene product, toothpaste, toothbrush, hair brush, hair products for the family, robes, slippers etc. In addition, hair care tips, massage service, basic skin care tips and local Dentistry literature are donated for this program.
 


FTP – Family Time Program
Description of Program : June of every year is our Annual FAMILY TIME PROGRAM. All families are invited to attend our Annual Family Time Program. We supply food, beverages, door prizes, balloons and fun time for the children. The Hospitality volunteers gather Caricaturist, Balloon Creation and other great fun time companies to donate their services for this event.
 


CFMH – Cooking for My Health Program
Description of Program: LLAA have partnered with local catering companies to extend services to women looking to enter the catering field. These women will receive hands on experience in the catering field. In addition, tips on healthy eating habits and cost effective cooking.



DSP – Defense Strategy Program
Description of Program: This program will allow intense training in personal defense tactics by our Defense Expert trainer. Children are also invited to attend for training on their level. We will teach our women and family how to react to a life threatening incident and how to be proactive and vigilant.
 


CHP - Concert Hall Program
Description of Program: our Annual Concert Hall Program is designed to uplift and encourage families going through crisis by gathering artist from New Jersey and other states to commit to a charity concert once a year. Our partners will assist with the catering and donations and product will be sponsored by organizations. The families are encouraged to come and enjoy the festivities of music, comedy, food and a care package of essential product i.e. personal care product, hair care products etc. This program is to help uplift and inspire the entire family.
 


CWP – Computer Whiz Program
Description of Program: The LLAA have partnered with local computer schools to sponsor our Computer Whiz Program. This program is designed to extend Beginner, Intermediate and Advance software training for the basic computer software programs. A certificate of completion will be issued upon completing the course. Job placement services will also be extended upon completion of the program.
